INEZA

Partner, Filmmaker & Trainer

Ineza is a documentary filmmaker based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A majority of her work focuses on working with Non-Governmental Organisations to highlight social issues including on LGBT, Women and Children’s rights. This has involved working with groups like UNICEF, the Joint Action Group on Gender Equality (JAG) and SEED Malaysia. She believes marginalised communities in Malaysia deserve to be heard, and aims to enhance their voices in whatever way she can.

In 2019, Ineza co-Produced and Directed M for Malaysia, her first feature documentary that went on to screen at film festivals all over the world including CAAMfest in the US, DocEdge in New Zealand, and Busan International Film Festival, Korea. M for Malaysia was also Malaysia’s official entry for the 2020 Academy Awards. 

When not working in film, Ineza is an avid fan of Manchester United, and LEGO.

BELLA

Advisory Council Member, Actor & Trainer

Bella Rahim is an Actor, fashion show producer, stylist, plus-size model, commercial, print, voice talent and a performing arts educator. She graduated from Ecole Philippe Gaulier (France) in 2017, majoring in performing arts and clowning. She is also a committee member of MODA MALAYSIA (Malaysian Official Designers Association)

Bella has dreams of bringing her diverse worlds closer : creating a show that combines fashion and theatre; bringing Europe and Asia together in theatre and film; and last but not least, having a killer one-woman-show tour around the world and streaming on Netflix.

ABBY

Advisory Council Member, Poet & Film Producer

Abby Latif is continuously learning to be a better contributor to the human kind while having special interest in humanity, networking, sustainability, communications, creativity and storytelling. She is also a poet, a writer and a workshop facilitator. 

Under her previous not-for-profit organisations, WOMEN:girls and Kakiseni, Abby has conducted Changemaking workshops in schools all over Malaysia with the Ministry of Education, UNICEF and corporate organisations; produced more than 70 short films made by first time female directors and students; wrote creative guidebooks and curated performance spaces. She has also performed poetry in Jakarta, Bali and Kuala Lumpur.

MIEN. LY

Partner, Filmmaker & Trainer

Mien makes films and teaches media subjects in colleges. An alumni of Bifan’s Fantastic Film School 2018, she writes and directs branded short films, documentaries and TV series. Her dystopian short film ‘Selam 2.0’ won 4 awards at BMW Shorties 2017. She previously worked with KOMAS as Programme Coordinator; EngageMedia as South-East Asian Trainer and Coordinator; and Women’s Centre for Change (Penang) as Communication Officer.

She obtained an MA in Gender Studies from Sussex University, UK as a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship in 2010. She also trains NGOs and communities in video-making for advocacy, education and community-building.
